So everytime I think of updating my journal or my facebook status, "poop!" is one of the things that always pops in my mind to post.
Just thought I would share that little tidbit.

I understand the super bowl ad hype - I get it; we are capitalist and all about materialism and huge spending. I just wish those companies would spend that million dollars per 10-second commercial time on something useful like helping America dig itself out of it's economic hole. Helping assuage world hunger. Something useful to humanity and the planet we live on.
We are so ass backwards. It blows my mind.

But I will answer mine here, and answer questions about "the poster" referencing Amanda, Terry, and Aramis since I stole this from them all :)

The inner part of the common yellow banana splits easily lengthwise into three strips.
I like this.
Also, I am fairly certain a gnat just shat in my cup.

Working on some new things.
Dr. Su liked the proposal I prepared for him regarding a nanotechnology grant from the national science foundation at FAU. He has asked me for continued assistance in publishing work about an invention he is working on and wants my help with. It's pretty revolutionary and I am interested in it. I have to sign a confidentiality agreement to work on it, though, so no more on that here until it is released to the public.
I was toying with the idea of getting my masters in engineering management because FAU offers 13 month weekend programs that would fit my schedule perfectly, but I am going to put that on the back burner because I honestly believe a new research concept I have stumbled into is more important than anything else aside from survival. I am very excited, actually...
I had a revelation during a philosophical conversation several nights ago that has me empassioned enough to do research so I can write a book on the topic. I will likely get into detail here on LJ more as the research progresses and I arrive at roadblocks that LJ user input might be able to overcome.
I came to realize that I was focusing my energies on a subject too outlandish to grasp as a human with the current mental capabilities we as humans possess when I was 16-21 years old. I was essentially attempting to solve a calculus problem without ever having learned addition and subtraction. That's the best parallel I have for it, anyway. I was unaware of a missing step back then, so I put it all behind me because it was literally driving me mad. I shut my philosophical brain off and in so doing also apparantly hurt my memory and ability to retain information. I spent years not thinking on that level at all.
Re-opening my mind to this particular strain of philosophy has taught me a lot about who I am. I thought I had lost that aspect of myself and it deeply hurt me, but now I know I was just taking the break that was necessary in order to come to the realizations I have had over the past few days.
My findings could explain so much. Now if I only had a laptop to adequately record all of my research findings! haha
I am very ecstatic about this. I feel a greater sense of purpose than ever before.
Here's to finding honest answers. The most important thing we as humans can do.
